Match messages
Autoresponders compare incoming messages to a trigger using exact, contains, or wildcard matching. A response can be a message, embed, Components V2 message, or emoji reaction.
Create an autoresponder

Open Automation > Autoresponders.

Name the response and enter its trigger text.

Choose the matching mode and response type.

Set channel and role rules, choose a cooldown, then enable and save it.
Responder reference
| Option | What it does |
|---|---|
| Name / trigger text | Identifies the rule and the text it evaluates. |
| Match mode | Matches exactly, contains the trigger, or uses a wildcard pattern. |
| Case sensitive | Makes capitalization part of the match. |
| Allowed and ignored channels | Limits where the responder can run; ignored scope wins. |
| Allowed and ignored roles | Limits who can trigger it; ignored scope wins. |
| Cooldown | Prevents the same responder from replying too often. |
| Enable | Registers the responder for runtime matching after save. |
| Response type | Sends text, Embed, Premium Components V2, or an emoji reaction. |
| Embed response | Uses the shared author, title, description, color, media, footer, timestamp, and field controls. |
| Reaction | Uses the selected built-in or accessible custom Discord emoji. |
| Capacity | Free includes one enabled autoresponder; Premium removes the cap. |
| List actions | Search by name/trigger, Enable or Disable, Edit, Refresh, and Delete. |
