Spam detectors
Spam Protection can watch message flooding, repeated content, mentions, links, invites, emojis, stickers, attachments, webhooks, reactions, and channel hopping. Each detector has its own threshold, time window, and action.
Set up spam protection

Open Advanced Moderation > Spam Protection.

Enable the feature and review each detector's threshold, time window, and action.

Set exemptions for trusted roles, channels, users, or administrators.

Choose where moderators should receive alerts, then save.
Spam Protection reference
| Option | What it does |
|---|---|
| Detector switches | Enable message bursts, repeated content, mentions, links, invites, emoji, stickers, attachments, webhooks, reactions, or channel hopping independently. |
| Threshold | Number of events required inside that detector's rolling window. |
| Window | Seconds used by the detector to count activity. |
| Action | Warn, timeout, kick, ban, or the other actions offered by that detector. |
| Delete violations | Removes offending messages when the selected rule acts. |
| Timeout duration | Sets the timeout applied by timeout actions. |
| Role / channel / user / administrator exemptions | Skips trusted contexts; keep exemption scope narrow. |
| Server-wide signal | Requires both Messages across server and Unique accounts inside the Observation window before coordinated handling. |
| Global escalation | Combines detector events and applies the configured response. |
| Slow mode | Temporarily enables channel slow mode after escalation. |
| Channel lock | Temporarily locks the affected channel after escalation. |
| Alerts | Sends the configured message, Embed, webhook-style presentation, or Components V2 alert to the selected destination. |
| Reset / refresh | Use the panel controls to reload Discord resources or restore source defaults before saving when offered. |
